In addition to completing the standard veterinary coursework, she pursued a concentration in exotic and aquatic animal medicine. Dr. Walters is also an undergraduate alumna of the University of Florida from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a minor degree in Spanish Language and Composition.

Dr. Walters’s pet pack currently includes a playful Boxer/Pit Bull mix, a feisty green-cheeked conure, and a shy budgerigar. She hopes to add a donkey, a skunk, and an Australian water dragon to the mix in the near future. In her spare time, Dr. Walters enjoys listening to music, singing, playing her tambourine, practicing makeup artistry, finding the tastiest restaurants in town, and meditation. She loves kayaking, snorkeling, jogging, and longboarding, too!
